The flowers are semi-double blooms that appear in large clusters. The shiny dark green foliage is dense and bushy, and will not require any treatment for black spot or mildew. It develops showy red fruits (hips) in late fall. This is a hard-working shrub that requires little attention from you.Scarlet Flower is a low-growing shrub, reaching 2 - 3 feet high and spreading to 3 - 4 feet wide.
